Buried Treasure 3/29/2013

Buries Treasure 3/29/2013

A picture of my finds from the yard yesterday. A clad dime, a nut cracker which we have never owned, various other junk iron and an Christmas light base. All found using a Fisher F5 and Garrett Pro Pinpointer metal detectors.

In addition to the Fisher F5, I also purchased a Garrett Pro Pinpointer. The pinpointer is used once you dig a hole to help locate the coin or artifact quite a bit faster.

Metal Detecting

Found another hobby to get into, or get into again would be more precise. My kids bought me a metal detector for Father’s Day about 10 years ago. I decided to upgrade to a new Fisher F5. I plan to use it to search for old coins at local parks, on the beach this summer and on a couple farms in western PA. We found an old pen knife and a piece of cast iron gas pipe with the old detector.
